Character modeling and texturing

bodybuilder progress report


This has been a slow week, i havent had time to finish the texturing as i wanted. I did his hair and it took almost 3 days with maya crashing all the time. I also had problems with the bump map, wanted more detail in it so i tried to go from a 4k to 8k map, hehe but there is no way on theese computors so i´ll try an additional smaller tileable one. Otherwise i think im beginning to feel pretty finished with this one, just tweaking some colors and paint a specmap.heres where im at now http://gscept.com/projects/10/hyBo/public/images/sss_progress2.jpg

  1. Looking really nice. I think you should puy your last effort into the hands and the head. They are the things that stand out to me as not being in the same level as the rest. Head: -I think maybe the expression on his face look a bit to relaxed for that pose and the ammount of stress his body is under. -I like the base look of the eyes but I think they need more work in post to match everything else. - The ears could do with a bit more love. - Also think you need to introduce some more asymmetry and color variation in the head. Overall looks really good. I really like the torso area and his right leg.

  2. hi olle:) thanks for your suggestions i did some changes for ms2, and i think im pretty much done with this model just have to render out some different angles
