Texture and hair work
in Game Character CreationI’m almost done with all texturing, so tomorrow i will be done with all the texture work and normal maps on the character and the props. The hair is finished with texture and all so i post it up tomorrow.By the way it was hard to find a good texture of the face but i found it and i have also modelled some minor props to the character and they are uv mapped also.. The skinning can be done but i think it is goin pretty fast with that because i know the problems with it…

Texturing
in Game Character CreationThis week i have doing texturing of the weapons and try to bake a smooth mesh for my character, but it didn’t work so i’m going to try it out in mudbox….
I haven’t done all texturing on the headset, but i post a pic on it’s progress anyway.I will be finished this weekend with the headset, i will also upload some pics from the unreal engine on how the weapons will look there…

UV mapping, modeling and tveaking on the character mesh
in Game Character CreationThis week i have been modeling and uv mapped the weapons and belts for the character, i have also uv mapped all other things but not the character and the ear. So next week i will uv map the character and ear. Begin to texture the weapons and all other stuff. Have also tveaked on the characters face because i wasn’t satisfied with looks of her face before. I haven’t done something yet about the hair but i come to conclude that i will do a mix beetween mesh and planes to create the hair…

Modeling and Planehair Problem…
in Game Character Creationin this end of the week i been modeling the visor for my character i got done very quick about a 40 minutes no big issues there… The rest of the days until now i have struggled with planehair on my character i haven’t got the grip of it yet but i will search for some tutorials to apply the planes right this weekend…

UDK test import, animation
in Game Character CreationMy character imported in UDK. The problems i encountered was that the names of the joints in the outliner, if the names was to long for the joints, the x-actor exporter wouldn’t export the skeleton and mesh…
After the removal of names on the joints it went almost flawless…

Game Character Creation
in Game Character CreationThis week i have been modeling everyday to finaliaze the characters base mesh for MsII and done som e tweaking on the face. i have assemblied it and put every part that’s going to be on on the base mesh. I’am also almost done with my final concept picture. The wacom are having some problems but i will post the concept work this weekend..
Next week i will continue modeling on the characters weapons and assets it’s going to have. i plan to have the base mesh of the assets/ weapons done in the end of next week and, and i will continue on the characters hair as well…

Game Character Creation
in Game Character CreationWhat I Have Done This Week:
This week has ended at the summary is that i have almost done a whole base mesh. i have concentrated mostly on the face to block out the mouth shapes and the nose, i can say that it takes some time to get the face on the character that you want, but the rest of the body is pretty fast to make. Then have checked out more about the UT3 engine and read about it’s content in particular the overview what’s can be done in it. Have also downloaded the UDK kit. Then i’ve been drawing on the final concept picture that should be delivered next friday. I mostly done this picture because to get a whole feeling of the character i’m making…
Next Friday (MSII)
The finalization of my concept on the character. Dive into tutorials about UT3 engine and try it out. i will begin with the import export part how it works and if ithere’s any problems. And the finalization of the base mesh on the character…
