truckers progress
in Character modeling and texturingthis week i´ve been testrendering a lot trying to figure out how to light the scene. i´ll problably use an hdri image and fg + some extra lights.i´ve also been sculpting some accessories to the characters, modeled a second truck and started texturing stuff, playing around with the mr materials.

specialisation project changes
in Character modeling and texturingI´ve decided to change my project a bit and instead of doing different poses w the bodybuilder i´ll do 1-2 more charachters. I´m thinking of making a truckdriver or two stopping for a burger. If i do just one maybee i´ll only do a closeup of the face.here´s some inspiration images

bodybuilder progress report

This has been a slow week, i havent had time to finish the texturing as i wanted. I did his hair and it took almost 3 days with maya crashing all the time. I also had problems with the bump map, wanted more detail in it so i tried to go from a 4k to 8k map, hehe but there is no way on theese computors so i´ll try an additional smaller tileable one. progress report

This week i´ve been mostly texturing. I wanted to sculpt more finer details(it´s still under 2 million polys in zbrush) but the computor cant handle it:(. So i decided to go with a big bumpmap instead of splitting the mesh up. I then also decided to uv-map it for a little more control(i used zbrush auv tiles in combination with decimation master before). this also meant i had to extract a displacementmap and set that up. and also a lot o test renders, so i started using the render farm(thanks martin). the first week I´ve been searching reference material, modeled and rigged a basemesh and started posing it(see milestone1 powerpoint for more info).started sculpting a bit on a pose today so ill post that too..
