Bachelor Program in Computer Game Engineering, 180 Credits

With your passion and talent gscept can provide a learning path that will give you professional-level skills that are required by the industry. This degree has its base in the traditional computer science degree with emphasis on math, physics and programming. We also base our education on input from industry professionals. What makes gscept’s Game Development program unique is that it also includes courses that focus on challenges more specific to game programming; such as artificial intelligence and graphics programming. You will also have your own personal workstation in a studio on campus so that you are never far away from your instructors. During your education you will not only work with your own classmates but also with students in closely-related fields.

Year 1: You will study courses designed to give you the basics necessary for future courses. mathematics, programming basics, algorithms, game project with computer graphics students

Year 2: The courses are designed to deepen your understanding of programming. Graphics programming, game engines, real-time rendering, artificial intelligence, and a large full-time game project with the graphics students.

Year 3: Here you will continue to deepen your knowledge in programming as well as specialize in a focus project. game physics, game consoles, an independent self-chosen focus project, and a final project out in the industry.

Application Process

As this is a program based in the traditional computer science education, this is not an easy program to be accepted into. Besides being eligible for university in Sweden, the applicant must have advanced knowledge in mathematics and physics as well as basic knowledge in chemistry. The deadline for applying is the 15th of April and applications should be submitted through studera’s website.
